How long do the extensions last?
Depending on how quick your natural lash cycle is will depend on how long the extensions will last. Essentially the extensions will grow out with your natural lash. The glue used in salon has a retention of up to 6-8 weeks and the average lash cycle is 3 - 5 weeks. Be prepared to get infills every month or so to keep them looking fresh!
Will extensions harm my natural lashes?
If the extensions aren’t applied properly, then yes, they can harm the natural lash. That’s why it’s super important to go to a reputable, trained, professional lash artist. I do a lot of "rescue" jobs. Be careful who you choose - cheap is not always best. The health of your natural lash is the most important thing to me. It's important to have breaks after 3 - 6 months of wear. A good lash artist will let you have this break and tell you when it is time.
Is having eyelash extensions applied painful?
No. It may feel a little unusual/uncomfortable the first time, but once you get used to it, it should be so comfortable that you may drift off to sleep! Sometimes your eyes can become irritated when you open them the first time. People with extremely sensitive eyes or sinus problems may get some watering and slight stinging. The most painful thing is when you have to listen to my singing when I think you are asleep!
Will eyelash extensions irritate my eyes?
No – they feel like your natural lash.

Yes. In fact this is one of the best things about eyelash extensions. See the Lash Care page on how to care for your lashes.
Can you be allergic to eyelash extension adhesive?
Like all cosmetic products, there are some individuals who may be allergic to this particular adhesive. Allergic reactions are extremely rare however, and subside normally as soon as the extensions are removed. If you have extreme latex/band-aid allergies, you may be at higher risk of a reaction. If you have had an allergic reaction to any eyelash extensions before (swollen, puffy eyelids and under eye area) we should not have lash extensions again – as it is highly likely you will be allergic again. If you do have an allergic reaction, you must seek medical attention prior to making an appointment to remove the extensions as soon as possible.
Can I wear contact lenses/glasses with my eyelash extensions?
Yes, of course. However you may find it more comfortable to remove contacts before your appointment, or bring your contacts case so you can remove them immediately prior.
What if I get eyelash extensions but just don’t like them?
They can be removed using a glue-dissolver if you decide that they are not for you. But we’re sure this won’t be the case! No refunds will be given for change of mind.

Zheanae is against animal cruelty, which we why we do not and never will use real mink fur for lash extensions. We use faux-mink lashes, which are man-made fibres, designed to imitate real mink fur. They are very fine, soft and silky, just like real fur but won’t lose their curl.
